Resources

Through out the year, students learn new techniques and terminology. Students are given vocabulary to learn and are quizzed on the vocabulary. Vocabulary quizzes are fill in the blank format with no word bank. Spelling does not count for quizzes but will count for the final exam.

A Kahoot has been created for each course to help students independently study for the final exam. The Kahoot will be reviewed during our last day of class in order to give students the opportunity to ask questions.

How to Critique

Critiquing artwork is part of being an artist. The ability to critique involves observational skills, critical thinking and the articulation of thoughts and ideas. Artists critique artwork to learn how artists create work, how artists resolve artwork, as well as what they personally enjoy looking at. Art 1 students learn how to critique artwork in order to feel confident in critiquing other peer's work in a professional manner. Art 1students are expected to be able to critique in a way that is constructive to their peers as well as showing off their vocabulary they've learned through out the year.
